Volunteers

It takes about 400 volunteers to make the Festival happen, and we need your help to set up, tear down and to assist with various aspects of the event.  Set up will begin on Tuesday, June 10th  and tear down will take place after the event on Sunday evening and on Monday, June 16.  Volunteers will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.   Your time and interest are very much appreciated as this event would not  take place without our loyal volunteers.

New in 2014 — Volunteers wearing the 2014 volunteer shirt will be given one-hour exclusive access on the playground and on-site trails.  If you registered a Jeep, you will be given an “extra fun hour” on Friday and Saturday to have fun after the Festival closes for the day.  Friday volunteer “extra fun hours” are 4 – 5 p.m. and Saturday volunteer “extra fun hours” are 6 – 7 p.m.

If you did not register a Jeep, we will be asking our trail guides and other Volunteers with registered Jeeps to give you the opportunity to ride along with them so you can experience some off-roading fun first hand!

Volunteer registration is now available.  See the “Register Now” links on the home page.

Also, we’ll be holding our Volunteer Orientation on Thursday, June 12 in the evening at Cooper’s Lake.  Volunteers will meet their managers and learn more about their responsibilities, plus pick up their volunteer goodie bags.  We’re also adding a mixer with refreshments so you can reconnect and talk with other volunteers you’ve met during the past few years.

Register Your Jeep for Free by Volunteering

Jeep owners who volunteer for two shifts (approximately 4 hours each) will receive a participant wrist band and free Jeep registration for the following Festival activities (a $110 value):

  • Jeep Invasion
  • Playground/On-Site Trails
  • Moraine Trail Ride
  • Show ‘n Shine
  • Ruff ‘n Tuff

You’ll  receive one volunteer t-shirt (two shirts if you split your shifts between two or more days) and two raffle tickets.   Volunteer shifts may not be split between two people.  The same person must volunteer both shifts.

If You Want to Simply Lend a Hand and Help

Volunteers who are not registering Jeeps will receive one volunteer t-shirt and a spectator wristband for you and one guest that is valid for all three Festival days.  If you volunteer more than one day, you will receive one extra t-shirt.  You will also receive two raffle tickets.
